Golden Career College’s Full-Time Health Care Aide Program prepares you for a fulfilling, in-demand career where you can make a real difference. Over six months, you’ll gain essential skills and hands-on experience to support clients with daily living — while promoting dignity, independence, and well-being.

With 582 hours of blended instruction (classroom, lab, and practicum), you’ll graduate job-ready to work in hospitals, long-term care, or home care.

 What You'll Learn 

Our curriculum gives you a strong foundation and real-life experience in every aspect of the Health Care Aide role, including:​

Health Care Aide Roles & Responsibilities
Understand your role, client care, and how to collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team.

​

Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
Learn practical, compassionate methods to help clients with mobility, hygiene, feeding, dressing, toileting, and more.

​

Human Anatomy & Physiology
Study physical development and body systems across the lifespan — from infancy to late adulthood.

​

Interpersonal Communication & Relationships
Build strong communication skills to foster trust and provide emotional support.

​

Health & Safety Practices
Learn safe lifting, infection prevention, and strategies for protecting clients and yourself in healthcare environments.

 Program Details 

Duration: 6 months​

Format: In-person, full-time training

Total Hours: 582 Total Hours of Blended Instruction

  • Classroom + Lab Training: 16 weeks (384 hours) 

  • Practicum: 10 weeks (198 hours) 

Start Dates: August 2025, January 2026

Class Size: 16 students max
