Health Care Aide Certificate Program — Full-Time Admission Requirements
Applicants must meet all approved entrance requirements before being accepted into the Health Care Aide Certificate Program — Full-Time
Applicants must provide proof of the following:

Minimum age of 18 years

High school diploma or equivalent

Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid authorization to study in Canada, where applicable

Government-issued photo identification

Letter of reference from an academic, employment, or volunteer source

English language proficiency meeting the approved program requirement
English Language Proficiency

Applicants must meet the approved English language requirement before acceptance.

The required English language benchmark for the Health Care Aide Certificate Program is CLB 7 or an approved equivalent.

Proof of English language proficiency may include:

Graduation from a Manitoba high school with at least one English 40S course with a minimum grade of 70%; OR

Valid English language test results no older than 2 years.

Accepted test results may include:

IELTS General Training — Overall 6.5 and minimum 7.0 in Speaking; OR

Duolingo English Test - minimum score 110; OR

Other English language proficiency documentation accepted by Golden Career College only if it meets the approved program requirement.

Note:
Additional practicum readiness requirements must be completed before practicum placement. These may include a Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search, Child Abuse Registry Check, Adult Abuse Registry Check, immunization/TB documentation, First Aid/CPR, PHIA, WHMIS, and any site-specific requirements.

Eligible applicants may receive a conditional offer of admission after their application and supporting documents have been reviewed.
Enrolment, seat confirmation, and payment instructions are provided with the conditional offer.
